What? Tom Hanks as Walt Disney? You bet. And as usual he absolutely owns the part, as seen in the trailer above, for “Saving Mr. Banks,” a touching movie “inspired by true events, the extraordinary, untold story of how the classic ‘Mary Poppins’ made it to the screen – and the testy relationship that the legendary Walt Disney had with author P.L. Travers that almost derailed it,” according to the official Disney movie website.
This film has an amazing cast that includes Emma Thompson as the author of Mary Poppins and a number of other great actors including Colin Farrell, and Paul Giamatti. Julie Andrews is played by Victoria Summer and Dick Van Dyke is played by Kristopher Kyer.
This really looks like a great movie. It is set to be released on December 20, according to IMDB, which has a lot of great info about this film.
