Captain America to appear at Disneyland this Spring

In honor of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” coming to theaters April 4, guests at Disneyland park in Anaheim will soon have the opportunity to meet the First Avenger in person. Captain America will be dropping in to Disneyland park starting this spring, where you can also experience continuing favorites Iron Man Tech Presented by Stark Industries and Thor: Treasures of Asgard, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

Disneyland Resort Offers Two or Three Days of Fun at Special Prices for Southern California Residents 

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Jan. 6, 2014) – Southern California residents can “show their Disney side” in 2014 as the Disneyland Resort once again presents a ticket offer especially for them, with options for two or three days of fun and adventure at the parks – all at special prices. To explore all there is to do at Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park, Southern California residents may purchase a 2-day ticket with their choice of one park per day for just $129, a 2-day Park Hopper ticket for just $164, a 3-day ticket with their choice of one park per day for just $159, or a 3-day Park Hopper for just $194.

Disneyland’s Viva Navidad concludes with festive Three Kings Day finale on Jan. 6

ANAHEIM, Calif. Dec. 31, 2013 – The Disneyland Resort concludes its Holiday festivities by bringing the Three Kings Day celebration to Disney California Adventure Park, Friday through Monday, Jan. 3-6, 2014. The Three Kings Day tribute marks the grand finale of “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!,” a fun and festive event that has been presented throughout the holiday season with a colorful street party, merry music and traditional Mexican foods.

Three Kings Day, also known as Dia de los Reyes Magos, has been celebrated for generations by the people of Spain, Mexico, Central America and other nations, as part of the Christmas story. It commemorates the day the three kings (the magi or “wise men”) followed the star to Bethlehem bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

White Rabbit lawsuit settled quietly by Disney

Do you remember this story – “A local family filed a lawsuit Monday against Disneyland over claims of racism. In August 2012, Annelia Black and her family took a trip to Disneyland to celebrate her nephew’s birthday. Upon entering the gate, the White Rabbit — a character from “Alice and Wonderland” — greeted the family,” according to ABC 10 News.

The lawsuit was quietly settled this past July, with nary a media peep, according to the OC Weekly. Black family lawyer Daniel Gilleon would only confirm the case was settled, citing a confidentiality agreement.
